COnference postponed until the fall!!!

Please read the following letter from the President regarding updated plans:

Hi All,

I wanted to let you know that the NPCNA conference scheduled for March 19 and 20th in Washington D.C. has been postponed until the Fall.  At this present time, we have had a lack of registration for the conference.  We have pivoted to a series of hybrid webinars  highlighting innovations in pediatric cardiac nursing called Extending Connections & Embracing Change.

As a board, we are committed to embracing change & keeping professional development and growth at the forefront of pediatric cardiac nursing, especially as virtual meetings have become a vital part of our professional landscape. We are thrilled to introduce an innovative series of virtual webinar mini-conferences in the coming months, leading up to our in-person NPCNA Annual Conference this Fall, hosted by Children’s National in Washington D.C.

This new approach will enable us to extend connections to engage a broader audience of experts in pediatric cardiac nursing, gathering invaluable insights into the future of our specialty and understanding what our nurses wish to see at this years’ conference. We aim to foster meaningful face-to-face interactions, dialogue, and camaraderie—the genuine hallmarks of our nursing profession—across multiple cities and hospitals.

Details for the First Event in Our Series:

  • Date: March 19, 2026
  • Time: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
  • Format: Virtual Webinar

We invite nurses to participate in the webinar as a group at their respective locations. Any hospital or group that confirms at least 10 attendees will have their dinner covered by NPCNA.

Registration:

  • Current (Paid) NPCNA Members: Free
  • Non-Members: $40, which is the same as the annual dues! This means you’ll become a full member and enjoy free access to similar events in the future—it's a win-win!

We will cover a range of important topics and will feature poster presentations from current members. Participants will also earn Continuing Education hours for attending this event.

We look forward to bringing our community together for this enriching experience!

Best,

Christina  Ireland MS RN CFNP
